The Cirque Lodge Foundation removes financial barriers to recovery by providing partial scholarships for exceptional addiction treatment.

The gap

More than twenty million adults needed substance use treatment in 2018.

Young adults

5.2 million young adults, about one in seven ages 18 to 25, needed treatment.

Adults 26+

15.1 million adults, about one in fourteen ages 26 or older, needed treatment.

Very few received it

Only 1.6% of young adults and 1.4% of adults 26 or older received treatment.

Why people do not arrive

Families often meet the disease before they meet a path forward.

They are not ready to stop using.
They do not know where to go for treatment.
They have no health care coverage and cannot afford the cost of treatment.

Why scholarships matter

Time in treatment can change the outcome.

Cirque Lodge Foundation states that successful completion includes following the clinical team’s recommended length of stay and leaving with a continuing care plan.

Completing three to five months of residential treatment is cited by the Foundation as having the highest success rate.
