Cirque Lodge Foundation

A sober life, within reach.

A donor pitch for scholarships that help motivated people access exceptional residential addiction treatment in the Wasatch Mountains.

The purpose

Treatment should not be out of reach because the math does not work.

The Cirque Lodge Foundation removes financial barriers to recovery by providing partial scholarships for exceptional addiction treatment.

The gap

More than twenty million adults needed substance use treatment in 2018.

Young adults

5.2 million young adults, about one in seven ages 18 to 25, needed treatment.

Adults 26+

15.1 million adults, about one in fourteen ages 26 or older, needed treatment.

Very few received it

Only 1.6% of young adults and 1.4% of adults 26 or older received treatment.

Why people do not arrive

Families often meet the disease before they meet a path forward.

  • They are not ready to stop using.
  • They do not know where to go for treatment.
  • They have no health care coverage and cannot afford the cost of treatment.

Why scholarships matter

Time in treatment can change the outcome.

Cirque Lodge Foundation states that successful completion includes following the clinical team’s recommended length of stay and leaving with a continuing care plan.

Completing three to five months of residential treatment is cited by the Foundation as having the highest success rate.

80%
The Foundation states that, with successful completion of treatment, the chance of long term sobriety is close to 80%.

The donor promise

Every donation supports patient care.

100%
Donation proceeds go toward patient care in the form of partial scholarships.
501(c)(3)
The Foundation is a nonprofit charity. Donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Partial
Scholarships assist motivated people who cannot cover the full cost of premier treatment on their own.

What a gift can restore

“Seeing him with all four of our children is one of the most beautiful gifts all of us could have ever received.”

Daughter of a scholarship recipient, quoted by the Cirque Lodge Foundation.

The difference between thirty and ninety days

“Because of your generosity, I was able to stay 90 days instead of 30.”

A scholarship recipient described more than two years of sobriety, restored relationships with family, and regular service in the community.
